Month 6 and month 7.
Lol. Month 6 sucks. I mean the color.
People say be careful with what you wish for. I remember I wished that my teeth would move faster, and you know what, my wish was granted. Here’s what I got this month..
Oh my!
KA-POW!
Whoa.. the first 2 days was painful I kid you not. In fact, I think it was much much much more painful compared the first time I had my braces on. But the dentist didn’t warn me about the pain that I have to endure due to the kapowness of power chain. He used to warn me whenever he tightens up my braces that I would feel pain for the first few days, but this time he didn’t. I think he thinks that my pain tolerance is pretty high since I’ve not complained about anything from the first day I had my braces on. And not to mention that I have never complained whenever he accidentally poked my gum till it bleeds arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Hmm.. well prolly I did complain, but that was nothing.
So this kapow-effect affected my mood, and I got so emotional, moody and sensitive. I was actually upset that day, and the stupid thing was I didn’t even know why I was upset. At that made me even more upset. That’s like a double upset and it ruined my Saturday. Gahhh. Seriously, power chain does more than moving the teeth. It has the ability to move your emotion to a new level too. But I kinda missed the kapowness of power chain. Even though it was painful, it means that my teeth are moving. Moving towards beauty. Lol.
I should’ve gotten myself a baby blue elastic ligatures this month, but because I was busy wondering what the fuck power chain was when I heard the dentist spoke with the nurse, I forgot to remind them about switching color. Sigh.. Oh well, I have plenty of months to go.
Oh, I’ve learned to use the right term this time. Ligatures, power chain, band, etc. This ortho dictionary is good 🙂
And oh yes I have rubber bands too, left and right, attached from my tooth to the buccal tube.
Rubber band.
Month 7 is awesome. I love it. No more underbite, in just one freaking day. Even mom said my teeth are prettier. w00t!
Oh, and in the spirit of Devin, now I have charts!

And your teeth look so pretty just like you too! hehehe * kisses and hugs * Wow, your mom complimented you on your teeth? This is an improvement over the days when she called your pink bands fugly! hahahahahahahaah I know she didn’t really say that…hehe 😛
Oh my I do remember your mood last Saturday! It was so scary (for all of us) but you managed to pull through like a trooper… * KA-POW *
I wish your dentist had not injured your gum though and he really should have told you of the possibility of the power chain causing you some discomfort..even if he was under the impression that your threshold for pain was adequate that still did not excuse him from at least mentioning the possibility!
And by the way, regardless of pink, blue, or white elastic ligatures I always love the look and shape of your mouth! You’re doing a great job honey and I am so proud of you!!

@Ray – Well I really want to update my teeth post, but it has been for months.. and the thought of going through a collection of pictures of my teeth isn’t fun at all lol. Sheesh I don’t even remember where I dumped my pictures. It’s my bad for procrastinating, but yea I will give an update soon.
Plus my teeth looked so much different now, and my front tooth kinda loosen a bit and somehow they looked, a bit hmm.. ‘wrong’ whenever I snap a closeup picture. It’s pretty disturbing.
