And you think setting up a wallpaper is easy.

It’s just so fucking hard to find a wallpaper when you don’t have a theme in mind. I used to like gothic, dark yet feminine wallpaper back in college days, but now am more into cartoonish, pastelish and cute wallpaper. Sheesh.. guess am getting cheesier by day.

I like manga, but I don’t like it as a wallpaper. I don’t like anything specific, anything that comes with a message, an agenda or propaganda. I like a generic wallpaper.

But now am bored. Am so bored with my wallpaper. I want to change it but I just don’t have any theme in mind right now. I just wish that I stumble on a gorgeous picture that I could download and set it as wallpaper.

On a different note, I was at the pharmacy today and I kinda realized that the security guard was eyeing me like am a damn shoplifter. Okay prolly it’s just my feelings but this isn’t the first time. Pffttttttt.

  1. Okay, I know this comment is not exactly related but I am posting this entry at a Tim Hortons on Prospect St. in Fredericton using an ancient Asus Eee PC 702 2GB Surf model running the eeexubutu distro derived from Gutsy Gibbon using the Fredericton Ezone wifi!!! My landlady realizes I am the resident geek so she assigned me the vague task of understanding how the little machine functions and to install some games on it.

I love the wallpaper that I selected for this small screen – it is a mixture of blue and white swirls that I pilfered from a cousin distro – namely eeeubuntu.

Okiss, I think I just hijacked this thread and that is not right! Especially when my girlfriend is going to kick my butt later!!

By the way, I have compiz installed and the cube rotations and wobbly + transparent effects all run flawlessly and smoothly with the opengl intel open source drivers!!

    Isn’t Linux grand? 😀

I love you honey! Let’s beat those ugly cockroaches which have made it a habit of occupying your room when you least suspect it!

  2. I have become quite enamored to the Balanzan theme for Gnome. I’ve had it installed for a while now and there’s no part of it I don’t like. I think that I’ll hack the GDM theme and create one with a face browser and see if the author wants to included it with the rest oft he theme.

I’d include a link to the author’s site, but its not loading. There’s a repo for it and a bunch of others, though.

  5. I’ve never tried that before. Am thinking of fluxbox, been using it on and off years ago but it never really lasted for more than a month I guess. Just need to play around with something light. dwm is in my consideration as well. Keeping my options open.
