And we are back as a couple!

Well, I had intended to write a longer introductory post but I don’t want to keep od waiting until she turns 30. 😛 Well, I’m sure it is obvious now that me (Devin) and Od have been a couple since this past January 11th. It was my girlfriend’s idea to have a shared blog so expect to read various blog posts relating to technical issues, politics, economy, and occasionally religion. I just hope Od doesn’t come to regret this decision! Now she will be reminded on a daily basis about the sagging economy and the gold standard! Well not daily since I only want to write material that meets a certain literary and relevancy standard and I am not that prolific. It is my first foray into blogging and the ever powerful WordPress platform! Luckily, technical support from Corey is only a phone call away!

  1. Few things honey:

    1) No charts please. lol. Kidding 😛
    2) Oh and why is this post filed under the ‘1’ category?
    3) Am not even 28, yet.

  3. Hahahahhaah Oh Corey you are so friggin hilarious! hahaha I am blushing now…seriously! Hey you are posting from work are you not? So now I know what you do during your lunch breaks! 😛

But seriously, this is why I need your help as technical support for WordPress. Do you think they could make a new category at work called the blogging/wordpress Queue and put you in it? It might be funner than dealing with natural gas clients all day. 🙂

  5. Oh Devin, do post some recipes especially the awesome chicken soup you’ve been telling me about hehe.

  6. @od – you know that comes out of a can since my culinary abilities are highly limited! Someone is a smart ass! *smooch*

  7. Congrats guys.

    Comment by Ray — February 13, 2009 @ 4:52 pm

  8. Thanks, Ray 🙂 .

    Comment by od — February 13, 2009 @ 8:44 pm

  9. Oh thank you, Ray! Actually you were the critical link, Ray as far as I know because Corey met you through LinuxQuestions.org and Od met you through a lucky Google search concerning linux which eventually led her to your blog page.

In fact I believe that original page is still cached in Google. (Side note: Is Google’s cache even legal?)

    http://209.85.175.132/search?q=cache:4qD4hGAHXvoJ:www.lostaddress.org/2008/01/20/slackware-linux-installation-methods/+od+AND+about+page+site:lostaddress.org&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=3&gl=my

(Second side note: Why does the current link only have one comment? Hate using complicated cache URL!)

(Third side note: Slackware was the first linux distro I installed all by myself without any third party walkthrough)

(Fourth side note: Why so many side notes? Can I not organize my thoughts clearly and logical? Pfffffttt)

So though Corey’s blog served as the initial meeting area, it was ultimately your blog that served as the conduit that linked Od and me. I guess this is the internet version of finding your mate through shared friends which beats a dating site! (Which I have never used by the way 🙂 )

  10. Someone would try to dispute that dating site comment, I bet. 😀

    Comment by MrCorey — February 14, 2009 @ 11:46 am

  11. Bah! Dating sites. Blogging is the new way, we should definitely do something – synchronised posts or something similar – to make it popular.

Once upon a time, you’d be in the pub with friends and would meet other friends and various pairings would come from that. With everyone being global, blogging is a better way that twittering because of the conversation aspect.

Or I could just shut up and let you two go back to staring into each other’s eyes. That works too 🙂

  12. By the way, I think I see how this joint blogging thing works. Od on her own became fairly regular in updating. Having 2 writers *should* mean that you get twice the updates, but you seem to have halved the updating, netting a quarter of the posts.

    Someone check my working please.

  13. Ray! I love it! Yes your math is absolutely impeccable! It seems that everyone has gone on hiatus. No new blog postings are happening here and Corey has halved his output as well so I am not sure what is up here.

Is the economic depression leaking into the blogging world and taking that down with it as well? One sure hopes note.

My advice is to subscribe to this post big time so you don’t turn blue waiting for a new posting to present itself! But I am glad that you are expecting blog posts and you do deserve them my friend!!

  14. Bah humbug!

  15. My view on this is that if <emI can churn out one post a month, no one else has an excuse.

And I have noticed the quietness from Canada. This can only mean that Canada is planning something. Something nefarious….

    it’s quiet …. too quiet

  16. So whats the story? Any joint/guest blogging happening?

    Comment by ray — March 27, 2010 @ 6:32 am

  17. Hmmm.. Wonder why I didn’t get an email on your comment ^^ . Do I seriously need to check the checkbox below? But this is my blog.. don’t think it’s necessary..

Yea, kinda lack of idea of things to write. And guess I’ve been spending way too much time in forum..

No wonder some dude called me a dork last time..

  18. Don’t blame yourself od. Blame Devin. Especially as he’s not here to defend himself. 🙂

  19. I heard that Ray! 😛

    Comment by devin — March 31, 2010 @ 8:47 pm

  20. Daaamn! Its true, if you say his name, he arrives.

    Good job I wasn’t looking in a mirror when I said it….

    Comment by ray — April 1, 2010 @ 1:41 am

  21. Lol. Yea you better not say his name while looking in a mirror. He hasn’t cut his hair for sometime so the sight might be slightly unpleasant (for you, he’s yummy to me anytime lol).

Anyway, I just realized that this post was posted by him(his one and only post), and not me, hence no comment update via email.
